What my breakfast / lunch looks like, given that I'm eating like a race horse?
That's turkey breast (B / L), quinoa pasta (L), apple / raisin / cinnamon couscous (MS), two eggs (MS, AS), greek yogurt (AS), whole wheat bagel (B), the same couscous (B), tomato (B), corn / carrots / snap beans (L). This excludes the kiwi as part of my MS.
That's 4 of 8 eating opportunities in my day. Not pictured are the before / after workout, dinner, and evening snack.
I spent a lot of time tonight (with help from my lovely wife) preparing the next block of food to make it through the week. A few things amaze me from this...
1) I can eat all this
2) I don't feel uncomfortably full, only pleased
3) My body is handling all of this food - I've seen little impact on my weight
4) I have enough tupperware to carry this stuff to work 5 days a week...
Good choices!
ReplyDeleteYes, great choices... I eat not quite as much as you but close I think and and sometimes I can't believe I'm doing it. But same thing - I never feel stuffed, I'm still hungry for all my snacks and I'm not gaining weight from it. I was definitely an under-eater before this!
ReplyDeleteWow, you super-thin team members have a lot to eat. I mean a lot. I was laughing just looking at that, I don't think I could handle it.
ReplyDeleteOh man! That's an incredible amount of food! I am jealous. I have enough tupperware for a week as well and it sucks not having a dishwasher!!
ReplyDeleteBrian - I laugh about it every day. Sometimes I want to cry... it's so tough preparing it all the time.
ReplyDeleteEllen - Having an incredible amount is probably just as difficult as a limited amount. Susan is on the opposite track from my diet and was pleased with the idea that her dinner no longer requires much effort, despite the mental frustration of it's limitations.
Wow - that's a lot of food. It all looks beautiful! Which is was easier for you to get together/prepare!
ReplyDeleteThat is a whole lot of food my man.
